YAK on Glastonbury FM

Owen over at Glastonbury FM was kind enough to give some airtime to “Let’s Fuck” on his show Owen In Rock at the weekend, and he’s even got his entire show online at Mixcloud! Full stream below:

You’re on the ball.
You use thee intarwebz.
You’ve got a thingy on the Twitter.
You’ve got a page on the Facebook.
You’re coming to Bloc, Bath St, Glasgow on Friday March 25th at 9pm.
You’ll pay nothing for entry if you arrive before 11pm.
You’ll witness our first gig of the year, playing a set you will never get to see us play ever again.
You’re lovely.

Withered Hand & SXSW

Imagine you were a young musician that had spent countless hours refining your art, toured up and down the country, and received praise from pretty much everyone that had heard your music and attended your shows. Sounds pretty good, eh? You wouldn’t be well off or anything, but at least the future looks bright.

Imagine then, that having spent a sizeable amount of money on flights and accommodation, and having shows booked in the good ol’ US of A, to then find out that the whole situation what turned on it’s head by Immigration deeming you not worthy of access to the country, seemingly basing their decision on artistic merit. With your shows now in jeapordy, and seemingly very little you could do about it…..It would be a really, really, really, really, really shit situation, wouldn’t it?

Well, fellow Scottish musician Withered Hand finds himself in that exact position, and all we can really offer by way of support is to point you all in the direction of this petition.

Follow the link, listen to his music, sign the petition. That’s all you need do, and if you have a heart i urge you to buy some of his CDs while you’re at it. He’s rather good.
